Evan is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, and a professional registered parliamentarian. Now a licensed CPA in Rhode Island and Connecticut, Evan is a serial entrepreneur who began his first venture, a website development firm, at age 13. This firm is what sparked his interest in taxation, accounting, and management which was largely self-taught at that time.
He was an eight year member of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), a national student business organization preparing students for careers in business and business-related fields. Evan is only one of six members to have ever served as a national officer in both the high school (FBLA) and collegiate (PBL) divisions in the over 65 years FBLA-PBL has existed. He continues to maintain his membership as a lifetime professional member.
His interest in parliamentary procedures began during his freshman year of high school through FBLA, and had since authored countless bylaw amendments to his local and state chapters and the national association. He has also presented several workshops on parliamentary procedure at state and national conferences with FBLA-PBL, and offers his assistance to the Connecticut and Rhode Island state chapters.
Evan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a certified member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Rhode Island Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP), the highest parliamentary credential issued by the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP). Evan has served two terms as NAP Treasurer.
Evan received his MBA in Global Business Leadership and Accounting, BS in Accounting magna cum laude, and AS in Business Administration summa cum laude, all from Johnson & Wales University. He was also awarded the Nicholas Picchione Award with Distinction from the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s for his high exam score on the Uniform CPA Examination.
